Han Hu

Han Hu has been working in the field of data science since 2008. Han began their career as a Research Assistant at Boston University and then worked as a Review Assistant at Nucleic Acids Research Database Issue, Oxford Journals. In 2014, they were a Summer Intern at Pfizer, where they developed data-driven visualization modules and reusable D3 API for demonstrating RNA-Seq data. In 2015, they were a Data Scientist at Berg, LLC, where they worked on artificial intelligence for biomarker discovery and drug development using multiple omics datasets. Han also worked as a Data Scientist (Contract) at Pfizer, where they conducted a benchmarking study comparing literature proteomics results with MaxQuant results. Since 2016, they have been a Research Scientist at CuraCloud Corporation, where they are responsible for building and managing NGS platform and deep learning for medical image analysis of lung cancer samples. Han is currently the CTO of Xbiome and the Director of Shenzhen Xbiome Biotech Co., Ltd.

Han Hu received a Bachelor's degree in Bioengineering from Sichuan University in 2007. Han then continued their education at Boston University, where they earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Bioinformatics in 2014. Prior to that, Han Hu attended Yibin No 1 High School.
