John Bell is an experienced geophysicist currently serving as the Chief Geophysicist for the Africa/Europe Region at Xcalibur Multiphysics since October 2021. Previous roles include Exploration Manager Brownfields and Regional Geophysicist at AngloGold Ashanti, where responsibilities included mine-site exploration at Siguiri Gold Mine, and Exploration Manager Greenfields, where John oversaw strategy and planning at Mongbwalu in the DRC. Earlier positions feature Regional Geophysicist for Sub-Sahara Africa, addressing geophysical operations across a significant portion of the company's production. Career beginnings included roles as a geophysicist at Spectrem Air and Gold Fields. John holds an MSc in Exploration Technologies from Curtin University and a BSc in Physics/Geophysics from the University of the Witwatersrand.
