Chris Nicol is an experienced electrical and firmware engineer with a strong background in developing collaborative solutions and educational technologies. Since July 2010, Chris has been with SMART Technologies, initially working as a firmware engineer and currently serving as an electrical engineer, focusing on hardware development for DViT interactive whiteboards and related devices. Prior roles include electronics contractor at Science Alberta Foundation, responsible for the design and repair of educational devices, and teaching assistant at the University of Calgary, where Chris supported electronic circuits courses. Earlier experience includes serving as an electronics engineer at Grindcom, where Chris contributed to control systems for forestry harvester units. Chris holds a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Calgary and a Bachelor of Technology in Electronics Engineering from DeVry Institute of Technology.
