Gary Lakey

Gary Lakey has extensive experience in leadership roles within the energy sector, currently serving as Retired at Lakey Family Medical Practice since April 2024. Previously, Gary Lakey held the position of Vice President of Safety and Workforce Relations at Xcel Energy from June 2008, overseeing safety and workforce relations functions for over 11,000 employees and 5,000 contractors across eight states, achieving top quartile safety results. Prior roles include Regional Vice President at Xcel Energy, Coastal Region Manager at Atlanta Gas Light, Interim Managing Director of Marketing and Sales at AGL Resources, and Director of Consumer Regulatory Analysis at AGL Services Company. Gary Lakey earned a Master of Science in Organizational Leadership from Colorado State University and a Bachelor of Business Administration from Georgia State University.
