Matt Donovan

Matt Donovan is an experienced professional in the energy sector, currently serving as the Manager of Trading and Origination at Xcel Energy since January 2024. Prior to this role, Matt held the position of Director, Power Marketing & Origination at Ørsted from August 2021 to December 2023, and worked in various capacities at Xcel Energy, including Origination from November 2019 to August 2021. Matt’s earlier experience includes a significant tenure at Morgan Stanley from June 2006 to October 2019, where Matt served as Vice President of Commodities Trading and Scheduling, a Real Time Electricity Trader, and Manager of Natural Gas Operations. Matt Donovan earned a Bachelor's degree from Metropolitan State University of Denver between 2001 and 2005.
