Erik Chou

Erik Chou is a Bachelor of Science candidate in Computer Science at the University of Maryland, anticipated to graduate in May 2024. Currently, Erik serves as a Student Researcher at the CMU Human-Computer Interaction Institute, focusing on enhancing the gig economy. As Chief Product Officer at Sociable AI, Erik leads biweekly scrums and has developed a comprehensive software architecture utilizing AWS technologies. Prior roles include Design Fellow at Startup Shell and Full Stack Developer at the University of Maryland, where Erik worked on projects related to cosmology and dark matter. Additional experience encompasses product design for KnowIt, UX design for Kestrel, AI research at the MLH Fellowship, and frontend development at the University of Delaware. Erik’s diverse skill set includes software development, user experience design, and product management, supported by a Udacity Nanodegree in Full Stack Development.
