Edmée Steenken

Edmée Steenken has a diverse work experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Edmée currently works at Xellia Pharmaceuticals as the Senior Director of Commercial Affairs for the Global Anti-infective area. In this role, Edmée is responsible for driving the global franchise strategy, managing business operations and alliance management, and identifying new business development opportunities.

Before joining Xellia Pharmaceuticals, Edmée was a member of the Board of Directors at Navamedic ASA, where they supported the company in setting strategic future directions.

Edmée has also had a long tenure at LEO Pharma, where they held various leadership positions. Edmée was the Global Vice President of Brand Management for the Mature Derma portfolio, overseeing strategy, marketing, medical, access/pricing, and revenue optimization. Edmée also served as the Senior Area Director for Latin America, leading expansion efforts in the region and launching new products.

At LEO Pharma, Edmée also held roles as the Senior Regional Director for Marketing, Medical, Regulatory Affairs, and Pharmacovigilance for the LAMEA region and the Global Director of Team Critical Care. Edmée was instrumental in driving brand strategies, global collaborations, and enhancing the regulatory and pharmacovigilance functions.

Before their time at LEO Pharma, Edmée worked at Santaris Pharma as an Associate Director of Clinical Operations and at LEO Pharma A/S as an R&D Project Manager and International Clinical Project Manager.

Prior to their pharmaceutical industry experience, Edmée worked as a Scientific Researcher and Teacher at Midwestern State University.

Edmée Steenken completed their MSc in Medical Biology from the University of Amsterdam from 1991 to 1996. Edmée then pursued a Propaedeutic degree in Law at Tilburg University from 1997 to 1998. Edmée attended Augustinianum for their Upper Level High School education. Additionally, they obtained a certification in "Finance for non-financial Managers" from MCE. Edmée also has certifications in "Børskurset for styremedlemmer" from Oslo Børs in 2022 and "Social Psychology" from Coursera in 2013.
