Eric P. Kowack

SVP, Program Leadership & Alliance Management at Xencor

Mr. Kowack oversees all aspects of the program leadership and strategic alliances group in support of Xencor’s internal and external portfolios. Previously, he served as vice president of program leadership and precision medicine at Ignyta, where he led early-stage development programs and spearheaded Ignyta’s contributions to the Cancer Moonshot initiative. Eric has extensive experience building and leading oncology-focused drug development teams, where at Pfizer he served as executive director and oncology asset team leader for 19 different programs, including Ibrance® (palbociclib) from Ph 1b to approval. Before entering the biopharmaceutical industry, Eric served on active duty in the United States Coast Guard in several roles of increasing responsibility and then continued to serve in a reserve capacity across the U.S.

Eric received an M.S. in biochemistry from Dartmouth College and an MBA from Marist College and is Commander, USCGR (retired).
