Kendra Avery

Kendra Avery is a highly experienced professional in the field of biophysics and drug discovery. Currently serving as the Director at Xencor since September 2023, Kendra previously worked at City of Hope from December 2009 to February 2016 as a Staff Scientist, focusing on the biophysical characterization of biomolecules and their interactions. Kendra's expertise also includes a role as a Post Doctoral Research Fellow, where biophysical characterization of antibodies, proteins, peptides, and small molecules was a key responsibility. Kendra's academic background includes a Ph.D. from Penn State University and a B.S. in Chemistry from Wichita State University. Graduate studies were completed at both Penn State University and Texas A&M University between 2004 and 2010.
