Jim Parslow, CPA, MBA

Jim Parslow, CPA, MBA has a diverse range of experience in finance and leadership roles. Jim began their career at Arthur Andersen & Co, where they worked as a Senior Manager from June 1987 to December 1994. Following that, they joined Thermo Fisher Scientific as VP Finance from January 1994 to March 2002.

In 2002, Parslow served as a Controller at Fairmarket Inc. before joining Skillsoft as a Consultant - Revenue Restatement Team Lead from February 2003 to February 2004. Jim then became the CFO at Spire Corporation from February 2004 to May 2006.

Parslow's next significant role was at World Energy, where they worked as the CFO, Treasurer, and Secretary. Jim was responsible for financial, budgeting, legal, treasury, investor relations and M&A activities. During their tenure, they oversaw the company's growth from a $5 million private company with 15 employees to a $40 million public company with 135 employees. Parslow also led an IPO that raised $31 million in total proceeds.

Following World Energy, they served as the Interim CFO at Industrial Physics, LLC from August 2016 to November 2016, and at Big Belly Solar from January 2017 to March 2017. Currently, Parslow is the Chief Financial Officer at Xenetic Biosciences, Inc., a public biopharmaceutical company focused on the discovery and development of next-generation biologic drugs and novel orphan oncology therapeutics. In this role, they restructured the finance department, developed budget and forecast models, and successfully closed a sublicense agreement resulting in a $7.5 million upfront payment and future royalty stream.

Jim Parslow, CPA, MBA, obtained their Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and Finance from the College of the Holy Cross in 1987. Jim then went on to pursue a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) with a focus on Finance at Bentley University - McCallum Graduate School of Business from 1998 to 2000. In addition to their formal education, they obtained the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification in June 1990.
