John Cook

Dr. Cook joined Xerion in 2016 to lead the company's R&D efforts advancing its core and future technologies. John is a recognized expert in electrochemistry and batteries. Prior to joining XABC, he worked on multidisciplinary energy storage problems at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory as a member of the Batteries for Advanced Transportation Technologies Group. Dr. Cook has published 19 articles on high-performance energy storage materials and is an inventor on 9 patents. He holds an M.S. and a Ph.D. in Materials Chemistry from the University of California, Los Angeles, and a B.S. from the University of California, Berkeley.
