Bertrand van Den Plas

Bertrand Van den Plas is a highly experienced data professional with significant expertise in business intelligence and data engineering. Currently serving as a Staff Data Engineer at Xero since November 2017, Bertrand has previously held roles as Senior Data Engineer and Senior BI Consultant within the same organization. Prior experience includes a position as Senior BI & Reporting Analyst at the University of Auckland, where collaborative efforts led to the development of advanced business intelligence and reporting solutions. Bertrand's career also encompasses various consulting roles focused on BI, including positions at Akabi and VOO, as well as foundational experiences in IT consultancy and ambulance services. Bertrand holds a Master's degree in Computer Science from Université de Namur and has attended Polytechnique Montréal for additional study.
