Gaetane (Tani) ARRIGHI attended the University of Paris-Sorbonne from 1970-1974, where they obtained a degree in English Literature. Gaetane (Tani) then attended the University of California, Berkeley from 1975-1977 and obtained a Master's degree in French Literature. From 1978-1980, they attended the University of California, Davis and obtained a PhD in French Literature.
