Nathan McBride

Nathan McBride has extensive work experience in various leadership roles within the technology and biotechnology industries. Nathan currently serves as an Advisory Board Member at BWG Strategy LLC. Prior to this, McBride worked as the Senior Vice President of IT at Xilio Therapeutics, Inc. and as a Mentor/Adviser in First Round Fast Track's mentorship program. Nathan also worked at Long Walk Consulting, LLC as a Life Sciences CIO Advisor and Strategist. In addition, McBride held positions as the Vice President of IT at Affinivax Inc., Vice President of Information Technology at Ohana Biosciences, Inc., and Vice President of Global IT at Orchard Therapeutics. Nathan began their career at AMAG Pharmaceuticals, where they served as the CIO & SVP of Innovation Architects and Vice President of IT & Chief Cloud Architect. Before that, they held roles at Cubist Pharmaceuticals and Transkaryotic Therapies, Inc. in the field of IT.

Nathan McBride obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Classics and Classical Languages, Literatures, and Linguistics from Connecticut College. Nathan completed their undergraduate studies from 1992 to 1996. In terms of additional certifications, they obtained a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt (ICBB) certification from Villanova University in May 2020. Nathan also holds various certifications from Slack, including App Governance, Data Protection, Identity & Access Management, Slack Analytics, Workflow Builder, Digital HQ, Etiquette & Productivity, Project Management, Roles & Permissions Management, Slack Basics, Slack Connect, and Slack Certified Admin. Nathan completed these Slack certifications between April and June 2023. Additionally, they hold a Certificate of Completion from Asana, which they obtained in December 2020, and a certification in Cybersecurity: Managing Risk in the Information Age from HarvardX, completed in March 2018. Nathan also completed a course on Economics of Blockchain and Digital Assets from Wharton Online in October 2022.
