Donavon McConn

Donavon McConn has a diverse work experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Donavon is currently the VP of Non-Clinical Development at XinThera Inc. Prior to that, they worked as a VP of Drug Discovery (Consultant) at Cardurion Pharmaceuticals. Donavon also served as an Entrepreneur In Residence at Takeda Ventures, Inc. During their tenure at Solent Therapeutics, they held the position of Chief Operating Officer and successfully led the formation of three spinout companies from Takeda, managed the lead optimization and candidate nomination for these companies, and facilitated a collaboration deal with a big Pharma partner.

Before joining Solent Therapeutics, McConn had various roles at Takeda, including Research Alliances and New Ventures, Head of External DMPK Collaboration, Sr. Director and Site Head of Analytical Sciences and DMPK, and Director of DMPK. Donavon started their career at Theravance as an Associate Director-DMPK and also worked at GlaxoSmithKline as an Investigator and Team Leader.

Donavon McConn earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Biological Sciences from UC Davis. Following that, they pursued further education at the University of Washington where they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Pharmaceutics.
