Richard Mulvaney

Richard Mulvaney has over 25 years of work experience in various leadership roles in manufacturing and operations. Richard is currently the Head of Operations at XL Precision Technologies Ltd, where they are responsible for site manufacturing, purchasing, planning, supply chain, logistics, and continuous improvement functions. Richard is leading a business transformation to achieve a 20% growth strategy.

Prior to their current role, Richard served as the Head of Operations at TT Electronics plc, where they contributed to operational management.

Before that, Richard held leadership positions at Komatsu Mining and Caterpillar Inc. At Komatsu Mining, they served as the Head of Manufacturing Services and Head of Quality, responsible for EHS, quality, manufacturing engineering, maintenance, and cost center management. At Caterpillar Inc., they worked as a Project Manager, Lean Deployment Black Belt, Supply Chain Performance Engineer, and Operations Section Manager, driving lean processes, cost reduction, and operational excellence in supply chain and operations functions.

Richard also gained valuable experience at Johnson Controls, where they served as an Operations Supervisor, Team Lead, and Production Operator, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency in automotive production lines.

Throughout their career, Richard has consistently demonstrated their expertise in managing teams, implementing lean methodologies, and driving performance improvements.

Richard Mulvaney received a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Applied Management from the University of Sunderland from 2013 to 2016. Prior to that, they completed a Level 5 Diploma in Management with a focus on Business Management at South Tyneside College from 2004 to 2006. Richard has also obtained a certification in Apics Operations & Supply Chain Management from the APICS Supply Chain Council, although specific details regarding the date of obtaining this certification are not provided.
