Dr. Philip Kulp, OSCP, OSCE

Dr. Philip Kulp, OSCP, OSCE has extensive work experience in the field of cybersecurity. Currently, they serve as an Adjunct Professor at Drexel University College of Computing & Informatics. Prior to this, they held the position of Doctoral Chair and Mentor at Capitol Technology University.

Dr. Kulp also worked as a Cyber Security Consultant at XLA and founded their own company, PHK Cyber, LLC, where they served as the President. Dr. Philip has also contributed to Manning Publications Co. as a liveProject Creator.

In terms of teaching, Dr. Kulp has worked as an Instructor at Cybrary, where they created cybersecurity courses, including topics such as DevSecOps Fundamentals and NIST 800-53.

Dr. Philip'sprevious roles include serving as the President of eAssure, LLC, as well as working as an INFOSEC Consultant at Military Sealift Command and BAE Systems Information Technology. Before that, they served as a Senior Network Security Analyst at Technology Advancement Group.

Dr. Kulp's diverse work experience demonstrates their expertise in the field of cybersecurity and their commitment to mentoring and educating others in this field.

Dr. Philip Kulp, OSCP, OSCE, has an extensive education history in the field of cybersecurity. Dr. Philip earned their Doctorate degree in Cybersecurity from Capitol Technology University, where they studied from 2017 to 2019. Prior to that, they completed their Masters degree in Electronic Commerce at the University of Maryland Global Campus from 2004 to 2007. Dr. Philip also holds a Bachelors degree in Computer Information Systems from the University of Maryland Global Campus, which they obtained from 1997 to 2001.

In addition to their academic achievements, Dr. Kulp has obtained various certifications to enhance their expertise in cybersecurity. Dr. Philip is a Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist and a Certified Kubernetes Administrator, which they obtained from The Linux Foundation in 2021. Dr. Philip also holds certifications in Amazon Web Services, including the Amazon Web Services Security Specialty and the Amazon Web Services Solutions Architect Associate, both obtained in 2021. Furthermore, they are an Offensive Security Certified Expert (OSCE) and an Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP), obtained in 2017 and 2016 respectively. Lastly, they hold the CISSP certification from (ISC)², earned in 2000.

To further expand their knowledge and skills, Dr. Kulp is currently pursuing a CISO Certificate Program from the Carnegie Mellon University - Heinz College of Information Systems and Public Policy, with an expected completion in 2022.
