David Hwang

VP Engineering, Release Management at Xolv

David Hwang has extensive work experience in the technology industry. David started their career as a Systems Engineer at Communication Intelligence Corp in 1984, where they designed research tools for Japanese handwriting character recognition and managed computer systems. David then moved on to International BioAccess Systems in 1985, where they worked as a Product Design Engineer, designing and developing data collection software. In 1986, they joined LSI Logic as a Software Engineer, where they worked on software for the advanced CAM production system. David then joined Communication Intelligence Corp again in 1987 as a Software Engineer and project lead for a PC-based signature verification system.

In 1988, David Hwang joined Teradyne as a Release Manager, responsible for the release builds of the company's EDA design tool products. David also led the development of an internal Source Code Control System. David then joined Communication Intelligence Corp as a Sr. Software Engineer in 1990, where they led product integration with HP and ported CIC's handwriting recognition engine JOT to HP's Calypso Linux based PDA. David also worked with OEMs to port JOT to Linux GTK+/GDK GUI environment.

In 2001, David Hwang joined HP as a Release Manager, where they designed, developed, and maintained corporate web content publishing software. David worked on this role until 2004. From 2005 to 2017, they worked as the Chief Architect at iSign Solutions Inc., where they led the design, development, and deployment of J2EE online electronic document signing applications for the financial industry. David also served as the architect for the Sign-it XF SDK.

In 2017, David Hwang joined Xolv Technology Solutions as the Sr. Director of Engineering Release Management.

David Hwang obtained their Master's degree in Computer Science from San Jose State University, graduating between the years 1981 and 1983. In addition to their formal education, they have also received various certifications related to customer service, such as "Building Rapport with Customers," "Creating Positive Conversations with Challenging Customers," "Customer Service Foundations (2020)," "Customer Service: Handling Abusive Customers," "Customer Service: Problem-Solving and Troubleshooting," "Customer Service: Serving Internal Customers," and "Serving Customers Using Social Media." These certifications were obtained in May 2023 from LinkedIn.
