Garrek Chan

Garrek Chan is an accomplished investment banking summer analyst at Centerview Partners, focusing on biotech mergers and acquisitions since June 2024. Garrek has held the role of Head of Outreach at YAI since September 2021, where collaboration with industry-leading private equity, venture capital, hedge fund, and real estate funds has involved managing projects with over $200 billion in assets under management. At Yale University School of Medicine, Garrek serves as a machine learning researcher, designing the FMGAN architecture for drug repurposing, with contributions accepted into prestigious conferences, including ISMB/ECCB 2023 and AIME 2024. Previous experiences include a quantitative research internship at Weiss Asset Management, an investment analyst internship at Greycroft, and roles in software engineering and engineering internships at HealthVerity and Sequlite Genomics, respectively.
