Takeru Furuya

Takeru Furuya is a seasoned professional with a diverse background in biotech, from preclinical research to consulting and investing. Currently serving as a board member at Surf Bio, A-Alpha Bio, and principal at Xontogeny, Takeru also holds the position of Principal at Perceptive Advisors. With a background in chemistry, Takeru's experience ranges from directing research on metabolic and CNS diseases at Astellas Pharma to co-founding OcuTerra Therapeutics, focused on ophthalmic, cardiovascular, oncology, and CNS diseases. With a Ph.D. from Harvard University, Takeru also has experience in academia as a visiting lecturer at the Tokyo Institute of Technology.
