Wasif Shakeel

Wasif Shakeel is an experienced cybersecurity professional with a career spanning over two decades. Currently serving as Partner and Cyber Defense SME at XOR Security since November 2017, Wasif collaborates with a team to deliver ethical and cost-effective cybersecurity solutions. Previously held the role of Vice President of Cyber Defense at Defense Point Security, where Wasif directed the Cyber Defense practice. Wasif's extensive experience includes senior leadership positions at General Dynamics Information Technology, managing cyber security services for the federal market, and overseeing operational security programs for the Department of Homeland Security. Wasif began a career in information security with positions at various companies, including establishing vulnerability management protocols and leading incident response teams. Wasif holds a Bachelor of Science in Management Science and Information Technology from Virginia Tech.
