Fabio Simabukuro Cruz

Fabio Simabukuro Cruz is a seasoned professional in the field of Environmental, Social, and Climate Risk, currently serving as a Partner and Head of ESG & Environmental, Social and Climate Risk at XP Inc. since September 2020. In addition to these roles, Fabio is a member of both the XP Asset Risk Committee and the independent XP Seguros Risk Committee. Fabio's extensive experience includes significant positions at Banco ABC Brasil from July 2017 to September 2020 and banco BV from September 2010 to June 2017, where various roles encompassed environmental, social, and climate risk coordination and analysis. Fabio began a career in sustainability as a Climate Change Intern at Instituto de Energia e Ambiente - IEE / USP in early 2010. Educational qualifications include a degree in Environmental Management from the University of São Paulo and post-graduate studies in Environmental Management and Renewable Energies, alongside coursework in Risk Management.
