Yuanqiang Dong

Yuanqiang (Evan) Dong serves as the Senior Director of Engineering and Head of the Technology Development Department at XPENG since May 2021, leading R&D efforts for advanced driving assistance software across teams in China and the USA. Prior roles include Director of Engineering at XPENG, overseeing a 100-member team in sensor technologies, and a Principal Researcher at Tencent America, focusing on perception in the Autonomous Driving Division. Yuanqiang's experience also encompasses a Senior Computer Vision Engineer position at NVIDIA, where responsibilities included developing technologies for ADAS, and a Computer Vision Research Scientist role at UtopiaCompression, specializing in a range of vision-related research and software development.
