Matt Merkle is an experienced insurance professional with a robust background in commercial lines brokering and leadership roles. Currently serving as Senior Vice President and Broker at XPT Specialty since August 2021, Matt previously held significant positions at Monarch E & S Insurance Services from 2004 to August 2021, including Vice President of Operations and Senior Underwriter. Earlier experience includes roles as President and Partner at Excess & Surplus Lines Insurance Brokers from 1997 to 2005, as well as Assistant Vice President at Cascade General Agency & Amstar Insurance Services from 1988 to 1997. Matt possesses extensive access to pen and contract markets, enhancing brokerage capabilities.
