Katie Tague

Katie Tague has extensive experience in the legal field, with a focus on technology transactions and corporate law. Katie has worked at XQ Institute as both the Chief Legal Officer and General Counsel, starting in 2022. Prior to that, they were employed at Apple as Counsel for Media Content & Services from 2019 to 2022. From 2014 to 2019, Tague worked at O'Melveny & Myers LLP as a Technology Transactions & Corporate Associate, where they provided counsel on corporate and intellectual property matters. Katie also served as a General Counsel at XQ Institute in 2016-2017. Earlier in their career, Tague gained experience as a Judicial Extern at the Honorable John E. Munter's San Francisco Superior Court and as a Summer Associate at O'Melveny & Myers LLP. Katie also held roles in the public sector, working as a California Senate District Representative and as part of a senate campaign staff. Tague started their career as an Event Production Manager at Numbskull Productions.

Katie Tague obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Political Science with a focus on the Political Economy of Industrialized Societies from the University of California, Berkeley in 2006. From 2011 to 2014, they attended the University of California, College of the Law, San Francisco (formerly UC Hastings) and earned a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree. Katie has also obtained certification as an admitted attorney to the California Bar.
