Alan Katz is an accomplished media and business executive with a diverse background spanning over two decades. Currently, Katz serves as the Founder and CEO of The Mountains Media since March 2021, focusing on publications that cater to the Catskills and Berkshires regions. Katz has held various key leadership roles, including CEO of AKAMedia and a Business Advisor and Mentor at XRC Labs, an innovation accelerator for retail and consumer goods. Prior experience includes Head of Business Development at XGen, Chief Revenue Officer for DuJour Media, Executive Vice President at Bookspan, Group Publisher for Interview Magazine, President of Sales and Marketing at MyTime.com, VP/Publisher at Vanity Fair, and Founding VP/Publisher of the influential magazine CARGO at Condé Nast. Katz holds a diploma from Spring Valley High School and a degree from William Paterson University of New Jersey.
