Imran Shahid

Imran Shahid has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and companies. Imran is currently the Director of Engineering at Xref, a role they started in December 2021. Prior to this, they worked at Xref as the Lead DevOps and Security from October 2019 to December 2021, and as the Head Architect from February 2014 to October 2019.

Before joining Xref, Imran worked at WebIT as a Python Developer in 2013. Imran also had a role as a Contract Developer at Xref Pty Ltd from November 2012 to December 2013, where they modified PHP/MySQL/Zend/jQuery based software. In addition, they worked at RD Digital Pty Ltd as a Senior Developer from January 2013 to August 2013, where they worked on a PHP/MySQL/Kohana/jQuery based LMS platform.

Imran's earlier experience includes working as a Software Architect/Team Lead at Business Analytics Pvt. Ltd. from March 2011 to September 2012, and as a Lead Software Design Engineer at Polycom Global Co., Ltd. from June 2005 to December 2010. Imran began their career at the General Headquarters of Pakistan as a General Staff Officer III from April 2003 to April 2005, where they developed a web interface using ASP.NET (C#) with Oracle. Imran also worked as a Programmer at Prysoft Islamabad from May 2001 to October 2002, focusing on Java 2 Network APIs, APACHE, PHP, and MySQL.

Imran Shahid completed their education with a focus on computer science. From 1998 to 2001, they attended the University of The Punjab, where they earned a degree in Bachelor of Computer Science (BCS). Following this, from 2002 to 2004, they pursued a Master of Computer Science (MCS) degree at the University of Arid Agriculture in Rawalpindi.
