Jeff Thermond is a Venture Partner at XSeed Capital and has been involved in Information Technology and computer networking for the majority of his career, both in public and private companies. He advises XSeed portfolio companies on executive management, sales, and product management strategies.
Jeff currently sits on the Board of Directors at Lex Machina, and is a regular contributor of articles published on Forbes and VentureBeat.
Prior to XSeed, Jeff was Chief Executive Officer of Woven Systems, a data center Ethernet startup. Before that, Jeff served as Chief Executive Officer of Epigram, which he sold to Broadcom for $498M in 1999. He stayed with the firm for six years, leading their entry into the Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and cellular businesses – businesses with several hundred million dollars in revenues when he left, that are approaching $2B today.
In his previous role as Vice President and General Manager at 3Com, Jeff took the struggling Network System Division (formerly Bridge Communications, which was acquired by 3Com) from $60M of revenue and -20% Operating Income to nearly $400M in revenue and 40% Operating Income.
Jeff holds a BA in Philosophy and Psychology from Yale University and an MBA in Marketing from Indiana University.
