Philip Nakashita has had a diverse work experience. In 2021, they began working as a Product Dev Engineer at Xtalic Corporation. From 2018 to 2021, they worked at the University of Massachusetts Amherst as a Research Assistant, Dining Room Server, Teaching Assistant, Engineer Peer, and Laboratory Research Assistant. Prior to that, from 2014 to 2018, they were the General Manager of Guest Affairs at Jofukuin. During their time as a Research Assistant, Philip prepared carbon nanotubes and chloroform mixture solutions, augmented solutions with polystyrene pellets, observed droplets of CNT solutions with varying concentrations, produced new ideas to reinforce the CNT layers and to align the CNT fibers, and used M-cresol and CNT solution to make a CNT-(M-cresol)-Polystyrene composite for body armor.

Philip Nakashita obtained a high school diploma from the Diplomatic School of Yangon between 2003 and 2014. Philip then went on to pursue a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, which they completed in 2021. In 2022, Philip obtained a Learn Python 3 Course certification from Codecademy, a Six Sigma Green Belt (CSSGB) certification from LinkedIn, and a Certified Solidworks Associate certification from Solidworks.
