Joel Silberstein

Joel Silberstein is the current Finance Director at Xtract Resources. Prior to this, they were the Director of Business Development at DananSarzin Chartered Accountants from August 2014 to January 2017. There, they managed a team of 4 accountants in the London office and liaised regularly with subsidiaries on all accounting matters as group controller. Joel also initiated and managed the implementation of new accounting software for the group. Joel was responsible for the groups’ multi currency annual budget process as well as monitoring group targets. In addition, Joel provided support on corporate finance issues (equity, project finance, bonds), including due diligence processes. Joel completed a full handover after the C$2.2bn takeover of European Goldfields Limited.

From June 2010 to June 2012, Joel was the General Manager of Turkish mining subsidiary Pontid Madencilik Sanayi Ve Ticaret. And from July 2003 to July 2012, they were the Vice President Finance / Financial Controller at European Goldfields Limited.

Joel started their career as a Property Accountant at Better Properties / Marcus King & Co from August 2002 to April 2003.

Joel Silberstein's educational career includes completing a Honours Bachelor of Accounting Science from the University of South Africa/Universiteit van Suid-Afrika, as well as a Bachelor of Accounting Science from the same school. Joel also completed their Matriculation at Herzlia High School. In addition, Joel has received certification from ICAEW in Business and Finance Professional and Fellow of Institute of Chartered Accoutants of England and Wales, as well as certification from SAICA CA(SA) in Member of The Institute of Chartered Accountants.
