Kevin Collins

Kevin Collins has a strong background in technology and research. Kevin co-founded Xtremepush in 2014 and served as the CTO, leading technology teams and setting the technology strategy for the company. At Xtremepush, they focused on developing a digital engagement platform for multichannel marketing.

Prior to Xtremepush, Kevin worked at Dublin City University from 2006 to 2014. Kevin served as a Principal Investigator at INSIGHT, Ireland's National Centre for Data Analytics, where they led and managed R&D projects. Kevin was responsible for setting research direction and managing day-to-day activities. One notable project they led was the development of a solution for indoor location detection on mobile devices. Additionally, Kevin was a lecturer and tutor at Dublin City University, teaching modules on various topics such as software engineering and web application development.

From 2010 to 2012, Kevin worked as a Senior Researcher at Disney Research. In this role, they coordinated technical activity in the wireless communications space. Kevin contributed to the development of a prototype mobile device and applications, as well as large-scale pilot deployments at theme parks. Kevin Collins earned their Bachelor's Degree in B. Eng Digital Media Engineering from Dublin City University, which they attended from 2002 to 2006. Kevin later pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Engineering from the same university, completing their studies from 2006 to 2009.
