Julien Hector currently serves as an English Language Teacher at Xunta de Galicia since December 2024. Previous roles include Diplomacy Fellow at Best Delegate Model United Nations from January 2021 to August 2025, Henry Wallace Fellow at the Institute for Policy Studies from June 2024 to September 2024, and CSIS Policy Fellow at the Center for Strategic and International Studies from February 2024 to June 2024. Additionally, Julien was involved with the U.S. Department of State Diplomacy Lab from January 2024 to June 2024, and served as a Teaching Assistant at American University from August 2021 to June 2024. With experience as an Advocacy Intern at The Latin America Working Group and a Legislative and Press Intern in the Office of Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib, Julien also interned for the United States House Foreign Affairs Committee Democrats. Leadership roles in the International Model United Nations Association included Undersecretary General, Director, and Assistant Director. Julien earned a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations and Affairs from American University, having graduated in 2024, and attended Franklin High School from September 2016 to June 2020.
