Process Development Scientist at Xylyx Bio

Natalia Kissel is a Process Development Scientist at Xylyx Bio. Natalia has over eight years of experience in the medical device and biotech industries.

Natalia began their career as an intern at Medtronic Vascular, where they trained on medical devices manufacturing, lean manufacturing, and WIP principles. Natalia then interned at Gallus BioPharmaceuticals, where they received training on GMP, biomanufacturing using single-use equipment (upstream and downstream), IPC, FAT, SAT, and IQ/OQ of Flex Factory process units. Natalia also participated in the engineering run of therapeutic proteins manufacturing site.

In May 2016, Natalia joined Stentex LLC as a Process Engineer. In this role, they were responsible for technology transfer of drug eluting stents systems manufacturing from Medtronic, Ireland to Stentex, Russia. This included equipment testing and qualification (IQ, OQ, PQ), start-up and engineering support of drug eluting stents systems manufacturing, troubleshooting, investigation of manufacturing issues, and process optimization. Natalia also created and maintained process documentation, and provided operators training.

In November 2012, Natalia began their internship at Alphamab, which lasted until May 2014.

Natalia Kissel completed their Master of Science in Chemical Engineering & Biotechnology from Yaroslavl State Technical University (YSTU) and their Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering & Biotechnology from the same school. Natalia also has a certification from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, MA, USA in Fundamentals of Biomanufacturing and Yaroslavl State Technical University in Professional communication translator / interpreter.
