John Ashmeade

John Ashmeade is a legal professional with extensive experience in medical malpractice and general liability litigation. Currently serving as Senior Assistant Counsel in the Legal and Risk Services Department at Yale New Haven Health since November 2016, John also holds the position of Associate Counsel within the same department since September 2008. Prior experience includes a role as Assistant Attorney General at the Connecticut Attorney General's Office from February 1998 to July 2008, focusing on juvenile law, and as an Associate at Day, Berry & Howard LLP from September 1993 to February 1998. John Ashmeade earned a Juris Doctor from Howard University School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Pre-Law from The City College of New York.
