Michelle Hahn

Michelle Hahn currently serves as the Deputy Director and COO of the Tobin Center for Economic Policy at Yale University, a position held since September 2022. Prior to this role, Michelle worked as a Public/Social Impact Consultant, providing support to universities and governments in evidence-based policy advancement from 2021 to September 2022. Michelle's previous experience includes significant leadership positions at Arnold Ventures, where responsibilities encompassed directing public finance initiatives, managing an $80 million portfolio, and identifying philanthropic opportunities for reform. At the Laura and John Arnold Foundation, Michelle developed a $75 million funding strategy aimed at addressing various societal challenges, and earlier experience included research roles at the Federal Reserve focused on financial stability. Michelle holds a Master’s degree in Public Policy from Duke University and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics with a minor in Mathematics from Trinity University.
