Sharon Walker

Sharon Walker currently serves as a Visiting Fellow at the Andlinger Center for Energy and the Environment since February 2025 and has been the Dean and Distinguished Professor at Drexel University since September 2018, with plans for a sabbatical in 2025. Walker also holds the position of Executive Director for ELATES @ Drexel. Additional roles include serving on the Board of Trustees and Science Advisory Board at the Academy of Natural Sciences, Chair of the Scientific Advisory Board for the Zuckerberg Institute for Water Research at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, and a member of the Dean's Leadership Council at Yale University. Walker's past academic appointments include various faculty and administrative roles at the University of California, Riverside, from July 2004 to August 2018. Education credentials include a PhD in Environmental Engineering and Chemical Engineering from Yale University and a BS in Environmental Engineering and Environmental Studies from the University of Southern California.
