Israa Alzain

Israa Alzain serves as a Child Protection and Community Based Protection Officer at the American Refugee Committee since September 2023. Israa is actively involved as an Alumni at the YALI Regional Leadership Center East Africa since January 2023. Previously, Israa held the position of National Training and Capacity Building Officer at Ypeer Sudan from March 2023 to November 2023, and served as Assistant of the National Training and Capacity Building Officer at Youth Peer Education Network Sudan from December 2021 to March 2022, overseeing training initiatives across various states. Additionally, Israa worked as a Training and Capacity Building Officer at the Youth Peer Education Network in North Kordofan from December 2020 to January 2022, focusing on reproductive health and life skills training. An Individual Consultant for UNFPA from April 2020 to March 2021, Israa contributed to community outreach and program reporting. Prior experience includes organizing the TEDx Alubbyed conference in 2017. Israa is pursuing a degree in medicine at the University of Kordofan, with an expected graduation in September 2024.
