Michelle O. Stewart currently serves as the Executive Director of the Yampa Valley Sustainability Council since February 2020. Previous roles include Faculty Lecturer at the University of Denver - University College and Academic Director for the Iceland Program on Renewable Energy, Technology and Resource Economics at the School for International Training from April to July 2019. Michelle held the position of Rangeland Social Scientist/Postdoctoral Fellow at Colorado State University from August 2016 to August 2017 and was the Pick Visiting Assistant Professor of Environmental Studies at Amherst College from July 2013 to July 2016. Educational credentials include a Doctoral Fellowship at Harvard Kennedy School in Science, Technology and Society, a Master of Arts in Environmental Studies from the University of California, Santa Cruz, a Doctor of Philosophy in Geography from the University of Colorado Boulder, and a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science from the University of Notre Dame.
