Samantha Newell

Samantha Newell has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Samantha currently works as a Brand Strategy Consultant, starting in May 2022. Previously, Samantha served as a Co-Founder and COO at YARD + PARISH since December 2018.

In 2018, Samantha gained experience as a Fashion Intern at Marks and Spencer. Before that, they worked as a Business Administrator at King's College London from September 2017 to May 2018. Samantha also held the position of Admissions Administrator (International) at University of the Arts London from October 2015 to September 2017.

Samantha's early career involved internships in the fashion industry. Samantha interned at Emilia Wickstead as a Pattern Cutting & Production Intern and contributed to various production tasks, fittings, and fabric sourcing. Prior to that, they were a Fashion Design/Garment Technology Intern at House of Sunny, where they produced final garments and conducted quality control checks.

At the beginning of their career, Samantha worked as an Associate Event and Marketing Coordinator at Toronto Monologue Slam from January 2011 to August 2013.

Samantha Newell's education history includes a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Honors Science from the University of Waterloo, which they obtained from 2008 to 2012. Samantha then pursued a Foundation Degree in Designer Pattern Cutting from the London College of Fashion, University of the Arts London, from 2013 to 2015. Recently, they completed an MSc Fashion Business Creation degree at the British School of Fashion, specializing in Business and Fashion, from 2017 to 2018. Additionally, Samantha has earned several certifications including A2E Business Fundamentals, Business Strategy, and Problem Solving, all obtained during the year 2022 from McKinsey & Company.
