Dave Troeter

Vice President Support Services at Yaskawa Motoman

Dave Troeter has extensive work experience in various roles within the machinery and manufacturing industry. Dave started their career in the US Army as an Aircraft Electrician/Avionics Technician, where they performed avionics maintenance and supervised repairs. After leaving the army, they worked at Lockheed Support Systems as an Avionics Technician/General Mechanic. Dave then joined Barr-Mullin, Inc. as a Field Service Engineer, where they assembled, tested, and installed CNC machinery.

Troeter later joined Stiles Machinery, initially serving as a Remote Field Service Representative where they installed, repaired, and maintained industrial machinery. Dave was then promoted to Regional Service Manager - West Region, responsible for the profitability of a multi-million dollar region. In this role, they built strong customer and dealer relationships and managed office staff and a technical service force.

In 2003, Troeter took on a new role as the National Parts Manager at Stiles Machinery, where they had full financial responsibility for a large parts sales center. Dave later became the Director of Customer Support Services, leading a large cross-functional team and managing all elements of a 24/7 customer service organization.

Troeter then joined Weeke North America as the Vice President of Administration, overseeing all aspects of a multi-million dollar manufacturing startup. Dave successfully led the team in establishing budgeting, staffing, manufacturing, and quality assurance programs, achieving profitability within two years.

Currently, Troeter is working at Yaskawa Motoman as the Vice President of Support Services.

Dave Troeter has a diverse education history. Dave attended the University of Redlands from 2001 to 2003, where they obtained an MBA degree in Business. Prior to this, from 1990 to 1994, Dave attended Methodist University, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. In 1988, they briefly attended the US Army to study Airframe Mechanics and Aircraft Maintenance Technology/Technician, although they did not obtain a degree from this institution. Additionally, Dave has several certifications to enhance their professional skills. In 2015, they obtained an Innovation Management Certification. In 2013, they received a Lean Office Certification from the University of Michigan. Furthermore, Dave holds a Journeyman Aircraft Electrician certification, which they obtained in 1992 from the Department of Labor and Regulation. Finally, Dave has additional licenses, including an Airframe & Powerplant License, a General Radiotelephone Operator License, and a Private Pilot License with Instrument Rating, although specific details about when and where they obtained these licenses are not provided.
