Aziz Jaouhari

Aziz Jaouhari is the managing director at Yassir. Aziz was previously the CTO and co-founder at WaystoCap, an online B2B marketplace for businesses in Africa to buy and sell goods. Aziz was also the head of marketplaces for Africa at Rocket Internet SE.

Jaouhari has extensive experience in the ecommerce marketplace space. Aziz has managed content and design for multiple ecommerce ventures in Africa, including Kaymu, Jumia, Carmudi, Lamudi and Hellofood. Aziz has also led a team of over 60 professionals across Africa and Paris.

Jaouhari has a proven track record of success in the marketplace space. Aziz has achieved and maintained more than 90% of the marketplace liquidity by optimizing the balance of demand and supply in each marketplace. Aziz has also helped early-stage marketplaces achieve critical mass, resulting in clear business efficiency gains in sales, operations and customer acquisition.

In addition to their work in the marketplace space, Jaouhari has also developed and integrated a company-wide system coordinating operations of over 56 ventures across Morocco, Nigeria, Ivory Coast and France. Aziz has also developed new and innovative solutions for time gain and work effectiveness on the BI tool, saving hours of labor from analysts, operations executives and the marketplace team.

Aziz Jaouhari reports to Noureddine Tayebi, Founder & CEO. They work with Nassim Bentaya - Director of Operations, Malek Debbas - Head of Strategy, and Xiaoxi Zhang - Head of Financial Services, Europe.
