David Welbergen

Creative Director at Yatta

David Welbergen started their work experience at Heine/Lenz/Zizka in 2001 as an intern. David then had another internship at Claus Koch Corporate Communications in 2004. From 2007 to 2009, they worked as a designer at Surface – Gesellschaft für Gestaltung and also had a PR internship at the Office for Metropolitan Architecture (OMA) in 2007. In 2008, they joined hauser lacour as a designer until 2009. David then worked as a designer at DennerleinBrands GmbH from 2009 to 2010. From 2010 to 2014, they were a senior designer at Peter Schmidt Group. In 2021, they were a lecturer for communication design at IU Internationale Hochschule. Currently, they work as a creative director at Studio David Welbergen since 2014 and will also be joining Yatta as a creative director in June 2023.

David Welbergen's education history begins in 2002 when they enrolled at Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences. David pursued a degree in Visual Communication and successfully completed their diploma in 2007. In 2006, they also attended ECAL - Ecole cantonale d'art de Lausanne for a brief period but did not obtain a specific degree. Following this, in 2009, David attended ZHdK Zürcher Hochschule der Künste to further their education in Visual Communication, earning a certificate in 2010.
