Nicolas Buteau has over 20 years of work experience in a variety of roles. Nicolas began their career in 1997 as a Senior Consultant at Deloitte Consulting. In 2000, they moved on to Tilney Capital Management as an Equity Analyst, focusing on Telecom, Media and Technology. In 2003, they became a Consultant (Manager) at AIG. In 2006, they founded and directed Stirred Up Publishing, which published and distributed Europe-wide free city guides. In 2010, they became the Director of International Markets at the Wetstein Group, where they handled day-to-day recruitment activities and managed recruiting resources. In 2012, they moved on to Uber, Inc. as the Head of Recruiting EMEA. In 2016, they became the Global Head of Executive Recruiting at Booking.com. In 2018, they became the VP Talent at venn city. In 2017, they founded Polymaths bv, a talent search and advisory practice for the EMEA tech sector. Most recently, in 2020, they founded Yayem, a digital membership that unlocks access to people, experiences and spaces in global cities.
Nicolas Buteau obtained their Master's Degree in European Politics from The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) in 2006. Nicolas then went on to pursue a Master of Science (MSc) in Engineering from UCL and a second Master of Science (MSc) in Engineering from Telecom Bretagne.
