Nikola Jovanović has worked in a variety of roles across a range of companies. In 2015 and 2016, they were a Junior Assistant at Petnica Science Center, where they helped with organization and logistics of the CS seminars for high school students. In 2016, they were also a Student Teaching Assistant at the School of Electrical Engineering, University of Belgrade. In 2017, they were a Software Engineering Intern at Microsoft, and an Assistant at Petnica Science Center, where they gave lectures on CS topics like Python, machine learning and computer graphics, and mentored participants on their scientific projects. In 2018, they were an Undergraduate Research Fellow at Rice University, where they participated on a project which aimed to speed up OpenIFS weather simulations by using neural networks instead of CFD algorithms. In 2019, they were an Embedded Software Engineering Intern (IAESTE) at Olympus Corporation of the Americas, a Machine Learning Intern at Saga d.o.o. Beograd, and a Graduate Research Fellow at Rice University. Currently, they are a Computer Vision Engineer at ydrive.ai.
Nikola Jovanović began their educational career in 2013 at the Petnica Science Center studying Computer Science. Nikola then went on to the School of Electrical Engineering at the University of Belgrade where they earned a Bachelor of Engineering in Software Engineering in 2019. Finally, they completed a Master of Engineering in Computer Software Engineering at the same university in 2021.
