Harjinder S.

Harjinder S. has a strong background in biosafety and biotechnology research. They began their career as a Graduate Teaching Assistant and Graduate Research Assistant at Ohio University, where they conducted various projects involving molecular biology and microscopy. They also supervised students and wrote grant applications for funding. Harjinder then worked as a Postdoctoral Associate at the Center for Biotechnology and Interdisciplinary Studies at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, where they performed cloning, gene expression analysis, and other biotechnology research tasks. They later joined the Oregon Health and Science University as an Asst. Biosafety Officer and eventually became an Institutional Biosafety Officer. In these roles, they managed biosafety protocols and provided guidance on safety procedures. Harjinder has also worked as a Safety Consultant for several companies including Yecuris Corporation, Oregon Bioscience Incubator and OTRADI, StoneStable, Inc, Najit Technologies Inc, and Vir Biotechnology, Inc. They have a diverse skill set that includes microscopy, protein purification, biostatistics, and bioinformatics. In addition, Harjinder gained experience as a Summer Intern at the Indian Institute of Chemical Technology, where they focused on biotransformation and the production of medicinal and agricultural chemicals.

Harjinder S. pursued their higher education from 2002 to 2007, attending Ohio University. During this period, they successfully earned a PhD in Molecular and Cellular Biology.
