Julien Tonsuso

Level Designer at Yellow Brick Games

Julien Tonsuso has a diverse work experience spanning various companies and roles. Julien began their career as a Level Designer and Scripting at Eko Software in 2007. From 2008 to 2009, they worked as a Developer specializing in Flex and Flash at Mediabox. Julien then joined WEBQAM in 2009 as a Unity/Flex/Flash Developer.

In 2015, Julien became self-employed and worked on indie projects as a Level Designer and Environment Artist. Julien also created an asset pack for Unity during this time.

Julien's journey continued in the gaming industry, where they joined Ubisoft in 2017 as a Level Designer. Julien remained with Ubisoft until 2022, contributing their expertise in Level Design.

Julien's recent work includes collaborating with Briac Corderoch on the Core Invitational GameJam in 2021, where their game NEXUS WARS won the Best Overall (Grand Prize) award. Julien was responsible for Level Design, Programming, Game Design, Balance, UI, and sounds for the game.

Julien has also participated in various Game Jams, showcasing their skills and creativity. In 2020, they secured the second place in "The Wilderness" category for the Core Design a Dungeon Contest and won the Best Overall award in the "Abandoned Cities" category for the Core Secret Spaces Contest. Julien also won the Best Overall award in the "Spaceship" category for the Core Spaceship Contest.

Most recently, in 2022, Julien joined Yellow Brick Games Inc. as a Level Designer.

Julien Tonsuso completed their Master's degree in Multimedia at the Université de Franche-Comté from 2002 to 2007.
