Farrah Akhtar

Farrah Akhtar has extensive experience in community management and brand development, currently serving as the Regional Lead for Yelp in Arizona and Texas since July 2008. In this role, Akhtar builds and supports a team of Community Managers focused on local engagement and brand promotion. Akhtar has progressively advanced through various positions at Yelp, including Associate Regional Lead and Senior Community Director, where responsibilities included event planning, grassroots marketing, and fostering community relationships in multiple regions including Houston and the Greater Houston area. Additionally, Akhtar has contributed as a writer for Houston Magazine and ENVY Publications, and holds a Bachelor of Journalism degree from The University of Texas at Austin.
