Emmanuella Amoako

Head, Clinical Affairs at Yemaachi Biotechnology

Emmanuella Amoako is the head of clinical affairs at Yemaachi Biotechnology. Emmanuella has dedicated their career to improving healthcare in Ghana, and has worked extensively in both teaching hospitals and rare disease initiatives.

Emmanuella began their medical career as a house officer at the Central Regional Hospital in 2012. From there, they moved to the Cape Coast Teaching Hospital, where they worked as a paediatric medical officer for two years. In 2016, they began a residency at Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital, before moving to Rare Disease Ghana Initiative in 2019.

Emmanuella Amoako has a membership with Ghana college of physicians and surgeons as well as the West African college of Physicians. Emmanuella has also completed a post graduate paediatric nutrition from Boston University School of Medicine, Division of Graduate Medical Sciences. Lastly, they have a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) from Lugansk State Medical University.

Emmanuella Amoako reports to Yaw Bediako, Co-Founder & CEO. They work with Lily Paemka - Head, Genetics, Frank Onyambu - Country Director, and David Hutchful - Co-Founder.
