Rakesh Arya

Rakesh Arya is an accomplished finance professional with extensive experience in credit risk management and corporate banking. At YES BANK from April 2020 to March 2025, Rakesh served as Chief Credit Risk Officer and Head of Resolution & Recoveries, where responsibilities included shaping and executing credit risk management strategies for both wholesale and retail banking sectors. Prior roles at YES BANK include Chief Credit Risk Officer, focusing on reviving and strengthening the bank's credit underwriting processes, and Group President & Country Head for Corporate Banking, overseeing large corporate clients across India. Previously, Rakesh worked at ICICI Bank Limited from April 2003 to September 2009, where notable positions included Assistant General Manager in Corporate Banking, leading the corporate credit team for various regional portfolios, and Head of Corporate & Institutional Banking in the United States, successfully establishing the New York branch and its operational framework. Rakesh holds a PGDM in Finance from Symbiosis Centre for Management and Human Resource Development and a B.E. (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering from Punjab Engineering College.
