Katherine O'Hearne currently serves as the Lead Literacy Specialist at YES Prep Public Schools since January 2021, focusing on enhancing student achievement and promoting equitable education access through instructional leadership, compliance management, and curriculum design. Prior to this role, Katherine held various positions at YES Prep Public Schools from August 2009 to June 2020, including Director of Academics, Dean of Instruction, and 7th & 8th Grade Math Teacher. Additionally, Katherine gained extensive experience at Teach For America from June 2009 to July 2017, where responsibilities included direct instructional coaching, leading fellow coaches, and managing logistical operations at the Houston Summer Institute. Katherine holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing from the University of Oklahoma and is pursuing a Master of Education in Educational Leadership and Policy at The University of Texas at Austin.
